SOLICITATION SPECIFICATIONS 

The Service: Stakeholder Democracy Network (SDN) is seeking reputable companies capable of supplying agricultural inputs and training farmers on climate-smart agriculture, as part of SDN’s deliverables for the underlisted programmatic activities:

1. Agricultural inputs

• Supply of 1,200 bundles of cassava stems
• 15 backpack slashers
• 60 cassava root lifters
• 60 20-litre knapsack sprayers
• 450 litres of systemic herbicides
• 600 litres of contact herbicides
• 80 bags of Hybrid pepper seeds
• Starch content analyser
• Delivery and distribution of inputs

1. Climate-Smart Agricultural (CSA) Training

Conduct a three-day CSA training course for 120 farmers in target communities with a focus on post-harvest management.

Delivery and training Locations: Bayelsa State (Agbia and Gbarantoru communities in Yenagoa LGA), and Delta State (Ohoro Community).

Deadline for Submission of Bids: 6th August, 2025 by 5:00 p.m. Offers received after this time and date will be considered late and will be considered only at the discretion of Search.

Questions and requests for clarification—and the responses thereto—that the Project believes may be of interest to other offerors will be circulated to all RFQ recipients who have indicated an interest in bidding.

Validity of Quote: Your quote should be valid for 60 days.

Taxes and VAT: SDN is exempt from cooperating country taxes, duties, and VAT. As such, all prices must be presented exclusive of any taxes, duties, and VAT. As mandated by law, SDN will withhold 5% on total price and remit to FIRS.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Companies are required to meet the following criteria to qualify for bid submission:

1. Have a Certificate of Company Registration.
2. Have a Company TIN.
3. Provide a clientele or company profile reflecting relevant information (e.g., experience and clientele).
4. Submit a letter reflecting:

• Introduction of your company representative written on your letterhead.
• A priced quotation on your letterhead.

Required Experience: The company should:

• Have at least 3 years of experience providing similar services (to an international NGO is a plus).
• Be able to provide this service directly and not through a third party.
• Be financially capable of delivering on the job and be paid according to agreed terms.

Selection of Company

The awarding of the provision of services will be based upon the apparent technical and professional capacity of the company, and its clientele, as well as a comprehensive analysis of final prices.
